Sustainability

Leave behind something to be proud of

Therefore, we at Ljungberg Fritzoe take our environmental work very seriously.

Sustainability Policy

At Ljungberg Fritzoe, we want to leave behind something we can be proud of, which is why we take our sustainability work very seriously. In addition to complying with applicable legislation, relevant regulations, and other binding requirements, we have the following strategies and policies to achieve Ljungberg Fritzoe AB’s ethical guidelines concerning the environment and sustainability:

Internal Work

- We will follow the OECD guidelines for due diligence in our supply chains to identify, counter, and manage risks in the value chain, including human rights violations.

- We will keep our staff well-informed about environmental and sustainability issues to ensure they have the right conditions to perform their work in the best possible way.

- We will maintain good and ongoing communication with our customers and suppliers regarding environmental and sustainability aspects in product selection to take responsibility in the value chain.

- We calculate our carbon emissions according to the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and work to reduce them by making conscious choices and setting sustainable goals.

- We strive to use recyclable packaging materials and reuse packaging materials as much as possible to reduce our environmental impact.

- We work with concrete goals to achieve continuous improvements in environmental and sustainability aspects.

Timber Regulation (EUTR)/Deforestation Regulation (EUDR)

We comply with the requirements of the Timber Regulation to counter illegal logging and actively work to align our processes with the Deforestation Regulation. Our goal is to prevent the importation of products and goods linked to deforestation and forest degradation into the EU, and we continue to improve our efforts for a more sustainable and responsible supply chain.

We achieve this by reviewing our suppliers and assessing the risks associated with the suppliers and the countries in which they operate. The assessment will be based on documentation obtained from the supplier, external monitoring, and physical visits to the supplier.

FSC and PEFC Certifications

Our operations are certified according to FSC and PEFC. These certifications require us to follow established procedures that contribute to a sustainable and traceable supply chain, as well as social responsibility. This work is ensured by a third party conducting annual audits.

Our aim is for the majority of our products to be FSC or PEFC certified. This is particularly important to us when sourcing from countries outside the EU.

In cases where the supplier is not certified, we ensure that the product comes from responsible suppliers and that the product is produced with minimal environmental impact.

Environmental Product Declarations (EPD)

Due to the requirement for climate declarations in new constructions, obtaining environmental product declarations from our suppliers is a high priority. We also work on these issues at the group level in cases where we have common suppliers.

Environmental Databases and Product Declarations

We aim, whenever possible, to declare our products in environmental databases such as BASTA, Byggvarubedömningen, SundaHus, Svanen’s House Product Portal, and the Supply Chain Declaration Portal (SCDP). We do this to ensure our customers can always feel confident using our products and to provide full transparency about the contents of our products so that they do not negatively impact the environment and health.

In conjunction with our product declarations, we also prepare product declarations for building materials. These are digital and available both on our website and digitally via eBVD.

Emissions Related to Transport

We always strive to plan and optimize transportation in and out of storage to minimize emissions and prevent pollution. We do this by selecting transport companies that focus strongly on these issues, are transparent regarding emissions, and those that engage in climate compensation.

For our company vehicles, we require that they be plug-in hybrids or electric vehicles.
